Our office is now open to seeing patients in the office.

The health and safety of our patients is our #1 priority and we are committed to protecting our patients, communities, and employees. We understand the high level of concern about the coronavirus and have been monitoring the situation closely. Here are some recommendations and updates based on CDC guidelines.

What we know

  • According to the World Health Organization, this virus is likely containable. In response to this understanding, there have been widespread school closures, event cancellations, and quarantine situations.
  • Latest data is encouraging, which demonstrates that about 80% of individuals with COVID-19 have no or very mild signs of illness.
  • Disease is most severe in vulnerable individuals including elderly, frail and those with underlying health conditions.
  • The virus is spread through direct contact with droplets from someone with the virus through cough or sneeze.

Staying healthy

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow.
  • Wear a facemask if you are sick. If you are NOT sick, you do not need to wear a facemask unless you are caring for someone who is sick.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily

What to do if you are sick

  • If you have mild symptoms of fever, cough, or trouble breathing, you should stay home.
  • Separate yourself from other people.
  • Wash your hands often and wear a facemask.
  • Cover your cough and sneezes.
  • Seek prompt medical attention if your illness is worsening.
  • Call your doctor before seeking care.
  • Call 911 if you have a medical emergency.

Testing for COVID-19

  • CDC does not recommend testing for individuals who are not showing symptoms of COVID-19 (cough, fever, difficulty breathing).
  • Call first if you think you have COVID-19 symptoms or you believe you’ve been exposed.
